The Burger Hut is planning a belly-buster of a burger-eating contest.

On Friday, the Milton-Freewater eatery will host its first Blair Burger Challenge.

Starting at 11 a.m. participants who "buy in" will race the clock as they stuff their faces. Those who finish three Blair Burgers and a pound of fries in 15 minutes will get their entry fee back, a T-shirt from The Burger Hut and a picture on the Main Street restaurant's Wall of Fame.

The event is like the community's own version of the "Man Vs. Food" challenge. On the televised series that runs on the Travel Channel host Adam Richman travels the country tackling food challenges in cities across America.

The most important question for those considering taking on the Blair Burger: What is it?

Jennifer Bishop, owner of The Burger Hut, describes it as a triple burger with cheese, ham and bacon, sauce and salad.

The challenge runs until 3 p.m. at 5 S. Main St. At least four people have already signed on to participate.
