July 20, 1924 - March 1, 2011
Eleanor (Phelps) Tuttle passed away on March 1, 2011, after a brief illness, at the Washington Odd Fellows Home. Her son, Stuart Farnham and daughter-in-law,
Colleen, of Walla Walla, were by her side.
Ellie would have been 87 years old on her next birthday. The middle daughter of Howard and Charlotte Phelps, of New Haven, Conn., she is also survived by her older sister, Dorothy Farnham, of Cumming, Ga.; son, Earle Farnham, of New Haven, Conn.; and daughters, Christine Johnson, of Antrim, N.H., and Martha Bianchini, of Wolcott, Conn.
Her grandsons, Dan and Greg Bianchini, of Prospect, Conn.; granddaughter, Kelly Johnson; and great-granddaughter, Roenne Hanley, of Antrim, N.H., remember her with love.
Ellie lived for thirty years among good friends at Colony Cove in Ellenton, Fla., before moving to Washington State in 2006, to be closer to family. She is remembered by all who love her for her gentle nature, her dry sense of humor, and her love of animals, which she shared with her children.
A private memorial will be held. Donations can be made in Eleanor's memory to the Washington Odd Fellows Home, of Walla Walla.
The family thanks the staff at the Odd Fellows Home for their loving care throughout Eleanor's residence and especially during her final days; their kindness to Ellie and to the family is deeply appreciated.
