July 17, 1978 - Feb. 25, 2011
Marissa Suzanne Coelho, loving mother of Alexandria (Alex) Coelho
and friend to all, passed away at her residency at Discovery Lane in Walla Walla, on Feb. 25, 2011. Memorial services will be held Friday, March 4, 2011, at 3 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1821 S. Second Ave., Walla Walla.
Marissa was born in Kaiser, Calif., and grew up there until her high school years when the family moved to Brigham City, Utah. In Brigham she attended Box Elder High School. Not long after the birth of her daughter, Alexandria, she decided to move back to California, so with much determination she packed up herself and her baby. Her first job there was working for Subway, she had strong work ethics and it was not long until she was promoted to shift manager. From there she went to work for Howes Market, where she was the dairy and deli manager. She became interested in insurance and became licensed in California as an agent. She worked for Century 21 for three years before returning to Brigham City. She continued in insurance and was licensed in Utah and worked for Allstate in West Jordan, Utah.
Not long after the death of her father she moved to Walla Walla, to be close to extended family. She went to work at Applebees in March 2006. She was a very valuable employee and proved herself to the bosses and co-workers. She had many customers who loved her and came in "just to see her." She was friendly, charismatic and fun. Everyone in the restaurant claimed "she is a great bartender." Marissa loved
life - she loved mountain climbing, rock climbing, snowboarding and skydiving. She loved gardening and flowers. She was her own handyman - she could build a fence, tile the floors and even change a flat
Marissa was preceded in death by her father, Daniel Coelho of Brigham City; and her mother, Susan Coelho of Palmdale, Calif. Surviving is her daughter, Alexandria Suzanne Coelho; sister, Nicole Coelho-Seager; and brother-in-law, Timothy Seager. She will be greatly missed by all her friends and family.
