WALLA WALLA -- Shakespeare Walla Walla is bringing two nationally acclaimed Shakespearian innovators in performance, directing and theater design here to work on final design details for the restoration and conversion of the Old Pacific Power and Light Power Building into the Shakespeare Walla Walla Power House Theatre.

Stephanie Shine and Dick Devin will give a presentation Saturday at 2 p.m. on how plans for the Fort Walla Walla Amphitheater and the new Power House Theatre compare to other Shakespearian venues in the U.S.

They will also discuss Walla Walla's potential to become recognized as a center of national significance for the performance of the plays of Shakespeare and other classic playwrights.

The presentation will be inside the Great Hall of the Power House at Sixth Avenue and Rose Street and is free and open to the public. Seating may be limited, so attendees are encouraged to arrive early.
