  • Tara N. Whitmore, 22, 53368 W. Crockett Road, Milton-Freewater, was sentenced Feb. 28 on one count second-degree theft. The sentence included restitution of $2,854.28, $200 in court costs, $207.80 in sheriff fees, $500 to the crime victims compensation fund, $775 in attorney fees, $100 biological fee, seven days in the county jail, credit for seven days served, 12 months community custody. On Feb. 14 Whitmore pleaded guilty to, as a part of a common scheme with intent to deprive the true owner, exerting control over property belonging to Super 1 Foods of a value exceeding $750 but less than $5,000 between Sept. 17 and Oct. 14.

  • William Dean Miller, 43, 1540 J St., was sentenced Feb. 28 on one count each violation of Uniform Controlled Substances Act-possession of methamphetamine; violation of Uniform Controlled Substances Act-possession of less than 40 grams marijuana; violation of Uniform Controlled Substances Act-use of drug paraphernalia; third-degree assault; and third-degree theft. The court dismissed one other count. The sentence included restitution of $300, $200 in court costs, $250 jury demand fee, $105.65 in sheriff fees, $500 to the crime victims compensation fund, $500 drug enforcement fund, $100 each crime lab and biological fee, 31 days in the county jail, credit for four days served, 26 days converted to Department of Corrections work crew. On Feb. 14 Miller pleaded guilty to exerting unauthorized control over $300 with intent to deprive the owner. A jury found him guilty of the drug charges on Feb. 11.

  • Kyle Wayne Price, 20, 15633 Harvey Shaw Road, Prescott, was sentenced Feb. 28 on one count disorderly conduct. The sentence included $200 in court costs, $113 in sheriff fees, $250 to the crime victims compensation fund, six days in the county jail, six days suspended. On Feb. 14 Price pleaded guilty to swearing at another person, creating a risk of an assault on May 21.

  • Trevor Joseph Kelly, 23, Walla Walla County Jail, was sentenced Feb. 28 on one count violation of Uniform Controlled Substances Act-possession of methamphetamine. The court dismissed four other counts. The sentence included restitution to be determined, $200 in court costs, $62.70 in sheriff fees, $500 to the crime victims compensation fund, $775 in attorney fees, $500 drug enforcement fund, $100 crime lab fee, 42 days in the county jail, 12 months community custody. On Feb. 14, Kelly pleaded guilty to unlawfully possessing methamphetamine on Jan. 17.
