SPOKANE - Waitsburg-Prescott played catch up all Friday morning here at the Spokane Arena in loser-out boys state Class 2B basketball action.
W-P fought back from a 20-9 deficit but never overtook Lake Roosevelt.
A decisive 9-0 Raider run in the opening minutes of the fourth period proved decisive as W-P could not muster one more rally. Lake Roosevelt exploded from a 41-40 lead to a 50-40 lead with 5:20 to play.
The Raiders went on to complete a 57-49 victory and played Saturday for fourth place.
