Talk to focus on representations of the Virgin of Guadalupe

WALLA WALLA -- A professor of Spanish and Latin American Literature from Kenyon College will speak Tuesday at Whitman College on the representation of the Virgin of Gualalupe in Chicana visual art.

The lecture by Clara Roman-Odio, "Globalization, The Virgin of Guadalupe, and the Politics of Representation in Chicana Visual Art" will be at 7 p.m. in Kimball Auditorium in the Hunter Conservatory, in the corner of Park Street and Boyer Avenue. The lecture is free and open to the public.

The lecture will be in English, with Spanish translation available to those who need it.
