WALLA WALLA -- Results of the Walla Walla Public School's recent "Educate, Listen & Plan" survey are now available online.
More than 300 surveys were completed by local residents and staff as part of the district's effort to gauge support for high school facilities improvements. The survey's questions and results can be viewed online at www.wwps.org. In a video, Superintendent Mick Miller discusses the suvey results.
From the results, the district learned that a vast majority agreed Walla Walla High School and Lincoln Alternative High School are in need of facilities improvements. A strong majority also felt the district should address the needs in a bond campaign in the next two years.
Respondents were unsure, however, on whether Lincoln should be rebuilt at its current location at 421 S. Fourth Ave. It was also not clear from the survey if people would support remodeling Lincoln, rebuilding it at its current location, or moving it to a new site.
