WALLA WALLA - Wheatland Village will celebrate the green on St. Patrick's Day with a special event.

You can get informative and practical tips on sustainable or "green" living by the presenters at the session, Master Gardener Blayne Barnhart and Melissa Warner, Sustainability Coordinator with the City of Walla Walla Public Works Department.

The session March 17 runs from 1-3 p.m. at Wheatland Village. In addition to the presentations there will be refreshments, a door prize, giveaways, information tables, a recycling station and a massage station compliments of Jan Atwater, LMP.

You can learn how to access free use of medical equipment such as wheelchairs and walkers through the Sunshine Club.

A recycling station will be available for these select items: clean used sheets, blankets and towels, plastic shopping bags, old hearing aids and old eye glasses.

Those who RSVP by March 14 will be invited to have lunch prior to the program.

RSVP to Tamara or Pam at 509-527-9600.
