Columbia County commissioners are Chuck Reeves, Dwight Robanske and Dick Jones. With all present Monday:

  • GOLF FEES: Waived fees for high school golf team. Unanimous.

  • FAIRGROUNDS: Postponed adopting revised fairgrounds rules to separate fees from the rules.

  • CONTRACT: Approved amended contract with the state Department of Social and Health Services. Unanimous.

  • EXTENSION: Discussed cell phone with cooperative extension agent Paul Carter.

  • EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT: Passed resolution related to moving dispatch services to emergency management services. Unanimous.

  • DAYTON DAYS: Discussed formation of fair board. Couldn't find date when fair board was formed. Did reaffirmation of current fair board. Will move forward with hosting Dayton Days.

  • CAMPAIGN: Met with Dayton High School student Nicole Lambert to discuss the Draw the Line Campaign. The campaign is designed to help increase awareness of consumptions of alcohol by teenagers and distribution of alcohol to teenagers. Commissioners authorized placement of a blue ribbon around the courthouse in recognition of campaign. Unanimous.

  • SALARY: Passed resolution to set commissioners' salary for 2015, with no increase. Unanimous.

  • INMATES: Discussed medical insurance for inmates. Robanske will discuss it at a meeting with the insurance carrier.

  • LIBRARY BOARD: Reappointed Bonnie Williams to the Columbia County Rural Library District board. Unanimous.

  • DOCUMENTS: Approved hiring a person to continue working on the document preservation project in the commissioner clerk's office. Unanimous.
