March 6, 1939 - Feb. 28, 2011

Sandra Ann Brinson was born on March 6, 1939, in Orofino, Ida., to Jessie Wilson and Donald Richardson. She grew up on the Weippe prairie attending local schools and graduated from Weippe High School in 1956.

She began her teaching career at Kamiah Elementary where she taught for two years. Then she returned to school and received a bachelor of science degree from Walla Walla College in 1963. Her career took her to Portland where she taught for two years at Portland Adventist Elementary School. In 1965, she met Charles D. Brinson and was married August 1, of that year in Bend, Ore. In August 1966 their first son, Garth was born and Darren followed in August of 1969. The family moved to Hermiston, where they resided for 18 years in 1969. Sandra returned to teaching in 1976 and she dedicated her life to serving children as she taught for 16 years. She retired from teaching in 1986 when the family moved to College Place, which would serve as their home base.

She then accompanied Charles on the road while he worked for Bonneville Power from 1986 - 2002. Together, they met many people and made friends all over the Northwest. They returned home in 2002 to the family home where she remained until she passed away. Her time there was spent showering love upon her children and grandchildren. Holiday's were her favorite times of the year.

Sandra shared her love for music by playing the piano, organ and saxophone for local organizations and church. She enjoyed creating beautiful works of art with needle point, crocheting, painting and doll making. She was well known for amazing recipes and delicious food. There was always plenty of food to be shared for any surprise visitors.

Survivors include husband, Charles D. Brinson; sons, Garth Brinson and Darren (Julie) Brinson; grandchildren, Natalie Brinson, Adam Miller, Elsa Miller, Myron (Casey) Tschakert; great-grandson's, Alex and Tucker and numerous "adopted children and grandchildren."
