Wa-Hi baseball team opens season with jamboree split


KENNEWICK - Wa-Hi played two three-inning games Saturday morning in a jamboree against Big Nine 3A teams Southridge and Sunnyside.

The Blue Devils tied Southridge 1-1 and beat Sunnyside 5-0.

"It was a nice opening experience for us," Wa-Hi coach Keith Gradwohl said. "Six different pitchers pitched in six innnings of evaluation.

"Everybody got to play and we saw some things we did well and some things that we need to practice on."

Wa-Hi plays again at 3 p.m. Friday in Moses Lake.
