WALLA WALLA -- An update on a study on countywide library services will be before the Walla Walla Rural Library District board Tuesday.

The board will meet at 4:30 P.M. at the Baker-Boyer Bank, 1530 Plaza Way.

Board members Stephen Ames and Andrea Berlin will discuss their meeting with Ruth Metz, a library consultant from Portland who has been hired by the WALNET library consortium.

Metz is working to help WALNET member libraries find options for delivering services to residents. Member libraries include the rural library district, Walla Walla Community College library and the Walla Walla Public Library.

A final report from the consultant will be presented in late June.

Other agenda items include branch library reports, staffing for the new Plaza Way library branch and grant proposals.
