- Alejandro A. Ureno, 30, 114 S. Water St., Weston, was sentenced March 7 on one count each violation of Uniform Controlled Substances Act-delivery of hydromorphone within 1,000 feet of a school bus route designated by the school district, second-degree possession of stolen property, and first-degree trafficking in stolen property. The sentence included restitution of $1,001.37, $200 in court costs, $250 jury demand fee, $116.70 in sheriff fees, $500 to the crime victims compensation fund, $775 in attorney fees, $1,000 violation of the Uniform Controlled Substance Act fee, $500 drug enforcement fund, $100 crime lab and biological fees, 90 months in the custody of the Department of Corrections, credit for 82 days served, 12 months community custody. On March 2 Ureno pleaded guilty to the charges in a plea agreement.
- John M. Kuszwara, 39, 19 N. Wilbur Ave., was charged March 14 with residential burglary, third-degree malicious mischief, and third-degree theft. Kuszwara is accused of unlawfully entering or remaining in a dwelling with the intent to commit a crime, knowingly and maliciously damaging property, and wrongfully obtaining or exerting unauthorized control over property on March 11.
- Randall S. Berry Jr., 30, 204 Willard St., was charged March 14 with second-degree assault, second-degree malicious mischief, and third-degree theft. Berry is accused of intentionally assaulting a person, knowingly and maliciously damaging property, and wrongfully obtaining or exerting unauthorized control over property on March 12.
