CLARKSTON - A Pomeroy golfer medaled and the Pirates came away with first place at a nine-hole jamboree at Quail Ridge golf course here Thursday.
Joel Meyers carded a 40 on the par-36 course, while the Pirates scored 181 with their first four golfers.
"This is a fun way to meet other golfers, and we got to see two Idaho schools," said Pomeroy coach Jim Green.
Asotin placed second at 193, Kendrick third with 208, Tekoa-Oakesdale-Rosalia was fourth with 215 and Orofino fifth in 243.
Pomeroy's Tanner Feider, Riley Bott and Tyson Feider carded a 47 each to round out counting scores for the Pirates. Austin Starin had a 53 and Wyatt Hyer had a 56.
The Pirates golf again at Quail Ridge on Tuesday.
