- FINANCE COMMITTEE: Met with treasurer Karen Roosevelt, and auditor Donna Deal as the county finance committee. Discussed interest earnings, and where interest earnings are deposited. Commissioners said they want earnings deposited in the current expense fund. Roosevelt said there are two real properties and in the county that will be in the third year of delinquency at the end of April. There are also 11 personal properties that will be delinquent at the same time.
- INSURANCE: Learned Garfield County will have to pay about $27,700 to the Washington Counties Insurance Pool to help make up an estimated $2.4 million shortfall the insurance fund experienced at the end of 2010. The fund provides health insurance coverage. Garfield County will have to pay the assessment from the county's reserve fund.
- COURTHOUSE: Signed change orders for the Courthouse renovation project totaling $85,837. Extra costs encountered by the contractor included $12,794 for replacing the stair treads on the grand stairway, and $30,675 to remove lath and plaster. Unanimous.
- PUBLIC HEALTH: Learned immunization rate among students at Pomeroy Schools is at 98 percent, compared to 75 percent in 2008.
