Evelyn Mae Anderson
August 23, 1925 - March 28, 2011

College Place - Evelyn Mae Anderson, 85, died March 28, 2011,
at Eagle Springs Specialty Care Community, 20 NE Larch Avenue,
College Place, Washington. Evelyn was born August 23,
1925, in Walla Walla, to Rene and Genevieve Comfort Prudhomme.

She graduated from Klamath Union High School in Klamath
Falls, Oregon in 1943. She graduated from Western Union
School in 1944 and worked for Western Union until she was
married in 1946. Her marriage to Donald Glenn Anderson
was December 29, 1946, in Walla Walla.

Her role as a homemaker was of utmost importance to
her, being involved in everything her sons did while growing
up. She attended all of their football, basketball and baseball
games. The family enjoyed hunting, fishing and trap shooting.
She was an avid golfer and horseback rider. She and her
husband traveled all over the country, participating in horse
shows. She accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior in 1993 and
served Him faithfully.

Evelyn is survived by two children: Evan and his wife
Margo Anderson, and Kim Anderson; four grandchildren;
eight great-grandchildren and two nieces and nephews. She
was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Betty Ann
Crawford; an infant son, Larry Wallace Anderson; and her
husband, Donald Glenn Anderson.

The graveside service will be 2:30 p.m., Thursday, March
31, 2011, at Blue Mountain Memorial Gardens, Myra Road,
College Place, Pastor Dave Jones of Grace Christian Center
will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's
Association through Mountain View-Colonial DeWitt, 1551
