Whitman, Parks and Rec hosting track clinics, meet

WALLA WALLA - Whitman College athletes, in conjunction with the city of Walla Walla's Parks & Recreation Department, are hosting a two-day track and field clinic for youth ages four to 12 April 5 and April 7.

The clinic runs from 4:30 p.m.-6 p.m. both days at the Martin Track & Field facility next to Borleske Stadium.

Instruction will be given on skills and techniques, including proper running form, relating to a variety of track and field events.

Whitman students from the varsity cross country team as well as the club track and field team will be the instructors at the clinic.

The fee for the two-day clinic is $25 and can be paid at the first clinic session or online at the city's parks and recreation department website.

The clinic fee includes a T-shirt and admission to the All-Comers Track & Field Meet at 3 p.m. April 17 at Martin Field.
