COLLEGE PLACE - Walla Walla University's softball team won its end-of-the-season tournament here over the weekend.

The Wolves opened with a 8-0 win over Boise State University's club team Friday, before losing to Eastern Washington University's club team, 6-0.

On Saturday, WWU handed Idaho's club squad a 15-0 loss.

And on Sunday, the University of Oregon's club team fell to WWU 9-1 to put the Wolves into the tourney championship against EWU, with WWU winning 4-0.

The tournament leaves WWU with a 15-15 record on the season.

"We went through a lot of injury and sickness this year," WWU coach Mike Jimenez said. "The team's morale overall was really good this year. We're looking forward to next year. We have a good group of girls, they never quit on any game."
