Art had the great pleasure of joining his wife, Mary Lou, on April 16, 2011. He was born on July 16, 1931, in Spokane and graduated in 1949 from West Valley High School in the Spokane Valley, where he resided most of his life.
Art spent eight years in the Naval Reserve and retired from Trentwood Kaiser Aluminum after 32 years. He was an active member in the Odd Fellows Organization, also a member of the Lions Club and
past president of the Spokane Valley Hospital Auxiliary. His last few years were spent living in Walla Walla, where he was actively involved in his church, Amazing Grace of the Nazarene.
He is survived by his children: son, Dwayne and wife LaVonne Schreiber, Otis Orchards, Wash.; daughter, Starlene and husband Joe Herzog, Martin City, Mont.; son, Fred and Teresa Massey, Panama City
Beach, Fla.; and daughter, Teresa Stamper and Max Childs, Kamiah, Idaho; sisters, MaryAnn Schreiber, Lincoln City, Ore., and Eileen Ericksen, Spokane Valley, Wash.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2011, at 1 p.m. at the Amazing Grace Church of the Nazarene, 717 E. Alder St., Walla Walla.
