WALLA WALLA -- A man was arrested Wednesday morning after the Emergency Services Unit SWAT team -- serving a search warrant for drugs -- forced entry into a residence on the east side of town.
Special Teams detectives made entry into 150 S. Wilbur Ave., Apt. 93, shortly before 6 a.m., according to a Police Department news release.
Fredy Antonio Marin, 29, was taken into custody and booked into the County jail on investigation of four counts of delivery of cocaine, and suspicion of possessing cocaine and marijuana with the intent to deliver the substances.
Police said small amounts of cocaine and marijuana were found, in addition to measuring scales.
About the same time, SWAT team members also forced entry into a residence on West Sumach Street that Marin also frequented. But no arrests were made there, the news release says.
The SWAT team consists of officers from the Police Department and Walla Walla County Sheriff's Office, and a paramedic from the city Fire Department.
