TOUCHET - Touchet wrapped its Southeast 1B baseball schedule with a split with Pomeroy here Tuesday.
The Indians won the first game, 5-2, but the Pirates rallied for a 10-6 nightcap win.
The Indians wrapped the league season with a 2-5 record. They're 5-10 overall.
Cory Ochoa pitched the complete first game for the Indians, with nine strikeouts and six walks.
"We were pitching tired," said Indians coach Wayne Dickey.
Both of Pomeroy's runs were earned and came in the third inning, he said.
Nate Ortiz had a double in the third and a single in the fourth for two RBI for Touchet.
"That turned out to be the difference for us," Dickey said.
The Pirates came back for the nightcap win.
Pomeroy had a 2-1 lead after the first. Touchet scored two in the second for a 3-2 lead, but Pomeroy's six-run fifth inning was too much.
"We gave up a lot of walks in the first four or so innings," Dickey said. The Pirates had eight walks and three hit batters, he said.
"They also got key hits when people walked," he said. "We made a couple of errors that cost us some runs."
Eddy Contreras was 3-for-4 on the day and Jose Martinez was 2-for-3. Both had RBIs. Elias Martinez was 2-for-4, with one double and two RBI.
The Indians play home-and-home solo games with Waitsburg-Prescott at 4 p.m. Thursday and Monday.
