WALLA WALLA -- A sixth-generation member of the Dorsey S. Baker family is the newest member of the Baker Boyer Bancorp board of directors.
Peter Allen was appointed to the board during the company's meeting in April. He joins 11 other directors leading the Walla Walla-based financial institution, the oldest independently owned community bank in the state.
"Adding Peter to the board brings continued family ownership ensuring Baker Boyer's independence for decades to come," said Baker Boyer President and CEO Megan Clubb, in a prepared statement.
Allen, vice president/senior trust and financial adviser for Baker Boyer, joined the team in 2006. Before that he worked as an associate attorney at Sloan Bobrick Oldfield & Heldon, P.S. in University Place, Wash. He earned his law degree at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. He earned his bachelor's in politics at Whitman College.
He is a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor and is also a member of the Providence St. Mary Foundation board and Walla Walla Rotary.
Baker Boyer has 168 employees, eight branches and $479 million in year-to-day average assets as of the end of March. Its board is made up of Baker family and non-family directors, Baker Boyer officers and representatives from the communities it serves.
Baker Boyer appoints financial adviser, program manager
WALLA WALLA -- TJ Middlesworth has been appointed by Baker Boyer Bank as financial adviser and program manager for its Investor Services.
Middlesworth has worked in financial services since 2004. He most recently worked as an equity research analyst at Pacific Crest Securities in Portland, where he helped his team rank on Institutional Investor's All-American research team in the entertainment sector in 2010 after three straight honorable mentions in the leisure and software category.
A graduate of Linfield College, Middlesworth is a candidate for board certification as a Certified Financial Planner. He passed the exam in 2008. He is also a level II candidate for the Certified Financial Analyst program and holds his Series 7 and 66 securities registrations.
