LETTERS TO THE EDITOR - President's primary job to protect nation

The most wanted terrorist in the world was recently killed by U.S. Special Operations soldiers after years of gathering and interpreting intelligence information.

This terrorist was not only the planner and financier of the attacks of 9/11 but many other attacks against the United States and other western allies.

I once again thank God that George W. Bush was president of the United States when planes piloted by terrorists killed almost 3,000 people. President Bush acted decisively and timely.

I also thank President Barack Obama for picking up the ball 10 years later. When all of the intelligence information gathered through aggressive interrogations, wire taps and alignment of the stars were added up and the totality of the information led to the probable location of Osama bin Laden. I am also certain that President Obama listened to his political and military advisors when he gave the "go" order for the mission.

Although I still believe President Obama was under qualified to be elected to the office of president of the United States, I salute him for understanding when it is time to listen to his advisors and act decisively.

Good job Mr. President! I ask you to seize this moment. Understand the country is behind you because of the manner in which you acted by sending Navy SEALs to capture or kill Osama bin Laden. Please remember your primary job is to protect and ensure national security.
