UW professor to speak at WWU about global literature

COLLEGE PLACE -- Anu Taranath, a University of Washington professor and Humanities Washington speaker, will give a presentation Monday at Walla Walla University.

Taranath's free, public talk, "Global Liberature: How Learning About 'Over There' Helps Us Understand 'Over Here,'" will be at 7 p.m. in Room 117 of WWU's administration building.

Taranath will use examples from global literature to suggest ways of reading that invite conversation on often difficult topics of power, privilege, voice, and agency.
