Wa-Hi's Davisson voted Big Nine Female Track Athlete of Year

WALLA WALLA - Wa-Hi track runner Kailee Davisson has been voted the Big Nine Female Track Athlete of the Year by conference head coaches.

Davisson is the first Wa-Hi girl to win the award in more than 15 years, track coach Eric Hisaw said.

"I'm really proud of her attitude, competitiveness and work ethic," Hisaw said. "She's as hard-working a kid as I've ever coached in track. She's put in the time in the offseason and she's dominated the league this year. Kailee is very deserving of this award and was the class of the Big Nine."

Davisson ranked first in the 400-meters in 60.73; second in the 200 in 26.51; fourth in the 100 in 12.92; and seventh in the 800 in 2:27. She also takes part in the girls 400 relay, 800 relay and 1600 relay.
