MILTON-FREEWATER - Carson Miller did not allow a hit and struck out seven over five innings here Saturday to lead La Grande to an 11-0 victory over Mac-Hi in the first game of a Greater Oregon League baseball doubleheader at McRae-Ireland Field.
The Tigers scored six times in the first inning of game two and coasted to an 11-5 win.
"He's one of the best in the GOL," Mac-Hi coach Mike Garcia said. "He's consistently working corners, inside and out. He has good speed, good command, and good control."
Troy Kessler had two hits in the second game for the Pioneers.
Mac-Hi ended its regular season 0-12 in the league and 6-13 overall.
