Unity Church of Peace to offer pet blessings today

WALLA WALLA -- Unity Church of Peace, 810 C St., near the Walla Walla Regional Airport, will hold a pet blessing at 10 a.m. today.

Shirley Scott will lead the service. Scott is an authority on pet behavior and emotions and seems to be able to communicate with animals.

WALLA WALLA -- Grace United Methodist Church is holding pastors office hours, 5:30-7 p.m. Tuesday, at the Olive Marketplace & Cafe, 21 E. Main St.

Area Christian singles plan movie night on Thursday

Cornerstone Missionary Baptist receives $21,100 gift

WALLA WALLA -- Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church has received an offering of $21,100 for its building project, according to a news release.

The project is progressing at 1470 Wallula Road.

So far, the congregation has not had to borrow any money, mostly because of the offerings received over the years.

Churches from around the country have contributed to the project.

The offering received recently came from a church -sponsored ministry out of Somerset, Ky. called the Interstate Mission Development (IMD), which helps missionaries around the country build their buildings.
