6:15 a.m .-- Flag raised, then lowered to half staff at Land Title Plaza, First Avenue and Main Street.

9 a.m. -- Ceremony, Jonathan Wainwright VA Chapel, 77 Wainright Drive.

10 a.m. -- Ceremony at Blue Mountain Memorial Gardens, 300 S.E. Myra Road, College Place.

10:20 a.m. -- Ceremony at Fort Walla Walla Cemetery at Vietnam Memorial, 755 Myra Road.

11 a.m. -- Flag ceremony with all military service organizations at Mountain View Cemetery, 2120 S. Second Ave.

11 a.m. -- Ceremony at Mountain Hope Cemetery, Southeast Sixth Street, College Place. Presented by VFW Post 466.

Noon -- Ceremony and raising flag to full staff at Land Title Plaza.

3 p.m. -- Pause for "National Moment of Remembrance"

6 p.m. -- Flags retired from downtown.


Saturday, 7 a.m. -- Local American Legion and VFW members place about 800 flags on graves of veterans at Milton-Freewater Cemetery, Cemetery Road.

Saturday, 7-9 a.m. -- Local American Legion and VFW members serve breakfast for veterans and veterans' widows at the American Legion Hall on 8th Street. Donation accepted.

Monday 7 a.m. -- Flags posted on Main Street and large flags at cemetery.

Monday, 4 p.m. -- Flags retired from downtown and cemetery.


Saturday, 10 a.m. -- Dayton Days Parade--All veterans invited to join in behind the color guard. Meet at 9 a.m. in front of County Engineer's office.

Monday, 7-10 a.m. -- A free breakfast for all veterans and friends at the American Legion Hall, 211 E. Clay Street. Sponsored by members of the Frank E. Bauers American Legion Post 42.

Monday, 11 a.m. -- Memorial Day services at the Dayton Cemetery.

Tuesday, 7:30 p.m. -- Muster for Jaron Button, who going into Marines the day after graduation. American Legion Hall, 211 E. Clay St.


Saturday, 7 a.m. -- 364 flags and crosses distributed on graves of veterans in the Oddfellows and the City Cemetery, by American Legion and Auxiliary and volunteers.

The following events are on Monday.

11 a.m. -- Memorial Day service at the Veterans Memorial Wall in the Waitsburg City Cemetery on East Eighth Street. Featured speaker is Cmdr. Stefan Xaudaro, Jr., Chief of Staff in the Military Operations Office for the Naval Test Wing Pacific at Naval Base Ventura County, Point Mugu, Calif.

NOON -- After the program, those attending are invited to a potato bar at Elementary School lunchroom.

7 p.m. -- Flags retired from downtown.
