WALLA WALLA -- Middle and high school students in Walla Walla Public Schools will have an extended day Wednesday as part of new testing requirements.
Students at Garrison and Pioneer middle schools, and Walla Walla and Lincoln Alternative high schools, will be in school a full day on Wednesday instead of going home an hour early as is typically done on Wednesdays.
Wednesday are early release days most weeks throughout the school year.
Students will be completing math End of Course Assessments as required by the state. Children in the district's six elementary schools will go home early as scheduled. Families are asked to contact school secretaries for more information.
