Training sessions set on shaken-baby prevention


WALLA WALLA -- The National Center for Shaken Baby Syndrome is offering free training sessions open to parents, medical providers and the general public. One-hour sessions will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at Providence St. Mary Medical Center, in the Providence Room, and 7 p.m. at Walla Walla General Hospital in the auditorium.

The "Period of Purple Crying" training will focus on the normal, healthy crying of infants, including coping techniques for use with healthy babies prone to excessive crying. For more information call Dick Cook at 509-386-4118.
