Umatilla County Historical Society to hold 'off the wall' duplicate sale

PENDLETON -- The Umatilla County Historical Society will host an off the wall sale of duplicates of originals and copies of photographs in the museum collections at the Heritage Station Museum, 108 S.W. Frazer St., 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday.

The sale features several hundred photographs of a wide range of subjects, including people, scenery, nature, Round-Up, and places in Umatilla County.

The photographs date from the 1860s to relatively recent times.

Several framed photographs by noted photographer Lee Moorhouse will be for sale.

The sale includes a number of posters and other art items that have been donated to the event.

There will also be copies of past Pioneer Trails and Umatilla County Pioneer Schools, about one- and two-room schools in the county published by the historical society -- including the Byrd School that was in Pilot Rock and is now on the museum grounds.

Admission is free and there will be complimentary coffee, cocoa and tea during the sale.
