Fredrickson clings to lead in Port race

The incumbent has a narrow lead over challenger Barlow Corkrum with nearly 2,100 votes left to count

WALLA WALLA - Port of Walla Walla Commissioner Michael Fredrickson holds a narrow lead over challenger Barlow Corkrum in their race for the six-year seat on the board of the economic development agency.

Fredrickson led Corkrum on Tuesday night, 4,900 to 4,741, with an estimated 2,085 votes left to count.

Another count is likely later this week, with the election certification weeks away.
