Walla Walla's Christian Aid Center has started its annual Coats for Kids drive.

The drive provided nearly 500 coats to area students over the past year, facilitated through the public school systems.

The center is seeking new coats to fit kids from preschool through high school. Currently sizes 6 through 12 are most needed for elementary school children, said organizer Karen Carmen.

Coats can be accepted at the center, 202 W. Birch St., year round but the need is greatest during the winter months. For details call 525-7153.
