The Walla Walla Symphony will present an informal, family-oriented concert at 7 tonight in Cordiner Hall, 46 S. Park St., Whitman College campus.

The admission price is one non-perishable food item per person.

Maestro Yaacov Bergman and the orchestra will perform "The Noisy Intermission," composed by Michael Valenti and Ron Spivak and narrated by Ron Spivak. Based on a children's poem by Joan Behrens Bergman and Janet Mishler, "The Noisy Intermission" tells the story of an orchestra rehearsing for an upcoming concert.

When the musicians leave for a break, the instruments come to life, introducing the audience to some fascinating characters. Also on the program, young violinist Alyssa Stremcha will perform Allegro moderato from Bach's Violin Concerto in C Minor.

All food items gathered at this "foodraiser" concert will be donated to local food banks. Dress is casual. For more information, visit wwsymphony.org or call the symphony office, 509-529-8020.
