Parents and grandparents of Berney Elementary School students packed the school gym Thursday afternoon for the school's Veterans Day Program. Music teacher Elizabeth Arebalos-Jagelski, leading second-graders in song above, directed the program, which included a number of patriotic songs, and a performance by the Berney Dance Team Firework. Principal Donna Painter welcomed the guests, and invited veterans present to come forward to introduce themselves. More than a dozen men and women stepped up to the microphone, representing all branches of the military and service from World War II to present conflicts.
