Gingerbread House contest to raise funds for homeless

Entry forms for the fifth annual Gingerbread House competition to benefit the Blue Mountain Community Foundation are available at the Downtown Foundation office at 2 S. First Ave., No. 300; at the front desk in the lobby of the Marcus Whitman Hotel & Conference Center, 2 W. Rose St.; at the Destination Walla Walla information booth at 26 E. Main St.; and on the Downtown Foundation website, www.downtownwallawalla.com.

Entry forms are due Nov. 28. Entries are accepted for amateur and professional categories. The houses go on display Dec. 6 at the Marcus Whitman Hotel.

Visitors to the display will vote for their favorite by donating money.

All money raised will be used to fight homelessness in Walla Walla through the BMCF.

The winning professional entry will receive a trophy to display all year; the winning amateur entry will receive dinner for two at The Marc. For more information, call 529-8755.
