WALLA WALLA -- General tickets for Peter Frampton's concert go on sale Saturday, but members of his fan club are already buying the VIP packages that went on sale Thursday.

The March 24 show was scheduled to take place at the Walla Walla Community College Dietrich Dome, where 2,000 could have attended. The venue was recently changed to Whitman College's Cordiner Hall, with a seating capacity of 1,384, to allow better acoustics for a live recording.

"In order to ensure the quality of that show, that is what we were hoping to do, because people can actually purchase those CDs at the end of the event," Walla Walla Community College Foundation Development Specialist Alisa M. Gilbert said, adding that a second show might be added if there are enough ticket sales.

Ticket prices range from $40 to $100 and go on sale online Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. at ticketswest.com or by phone at 800-325-7328.
