Lions Club to hold fundraiser for sight, hearing efforts

ATHENA -- The Weston-McEwen Lions Club is having its annual "Christmas Tree Raffle" fundraiser to benefit the club's work with sight and hearing issues for people in need. All proceeds will buy eyeglasses and hearing aids for local people, organizers say.

Three prizes will be raffled off -- a decorated tree with gifts; a realistic life-size baby doll with wardrobe; assorted gift items. Prizes can be seen at the Athena Grocery Store, 313 E. Main St.

Tickets are $1, 6 for $5 or 13 for $10. Drawing will Dec. 16, 7 p.m. at the Friendship Hall in Adams, Ore.
