A Walla Walla police department SWAT team member moves up the sidewalk adjacent Plaza Way from a police barricade at the entryway to a trailor park where two gang suspects were holed-up in a trailer early Wednesday morning. The two suspects had been in the trailer since Tuesday evening and were still inside as of 10 am Wednesday. Police were attempting to communicate by way of a hostage phone thrown into the trailer and by bullhorn but with no response.

WALLA WALLA — Police arrested Joseph D. Dejesus and Skyler Glasby without incident around 1:10 p.m. today after a 21-hour standoff. The pair of known gang members, both wanted by police, had holed up in a mobile home at 1809 Plaza Way when police attempted to arrest Dejesus on a warrant, police said.

"We were able to arrest both subjects without incident. We did not have to deploy tear gas," said Sgt. Matt Wood of the Walla Walla Police Department. "We were finally able to communicate with one subject."

The two men surrendered to police within five minutes of each other, Wood said.

"We’re wrapping it up," Wood said shortly after Dejesus and Glasby were taken into custody. "We’ll be able to release the house and the whole park soon."
