LETTERS TO THE EDITOR - Visitors appreciated WW's caring

Larry and I had the misfortune of a truck breakdown last month. We were stuck in our travel trailer at the weight scales on the east end of Walla Walla for more than four days while our truck got mended.

Our bad luck did have one very positive aspect - we met some really nice people from your area. The folks at Dayl Graves Inc., were helpful and concerned. Washington State Patrol troopers or all their service and concern for us;

To the Washington State Patrol checked in on us at least twice a day - we appreciated their presence.

We also appreciate the community people who stopped by to offer to bring us whatever we might need, to move us to their property (in the shade) and just to visit (helped pass the time).

You can be proud of your caring community - we were certainly impressed.
