PASCO - Waitsburg-Prescott's Seth Deal placed first in a field of 89 runners that participated in the Pasco Invitational cross country meet here Saturday.
Deal posted a time of 16 minutes, 21 seconds for the 5,000 meter race and won by a 12-second margin.
W-P's E.J. Meserve finished 39th (19:27).
"Seth had a fantastic race," W-P coach Joanna Lanning said, "He looks forward to an even greater challenge next week at the Richland Invite."
