A Pendleton man died after a motorcycle crash on Highway 11 about 13 miles north of Pendleton, according to Oregon State Police.
Carl W. Peak, 61, died at about 5:30 a.m. Sunday from injuries suffered in the crash, officials reported.
Trooper Trampus McCrae came upon an unreported motorcycle wreck at 12:14 a.m. and found Peak, who had been driving a 2006 Harley-Davidson. The trooper began providing medical care until emergency responders could arrive.
Peak was airlifted to Providence St. Mary Medical Center, where he later died. Alcohol is being investigated as a possible contributing factor to the crash.
Officials are asking for any witnesses to the wreck to contact McCrae at 541-278-4090, ext. 4818.
