DeSales runs past Tri-Cities Prep

PASCO - The DeSales Irish ran over Tri-Cities Prep Tuesday, beating the Jaguars easily in the first two sets 25-15, 25-17, before hitting a speed bump and going to bonus points to pullout the 31-29 match-set victory.

"The third game was a good close game and it was good to see the girls stay focused and intense and pull it out," DeSales coach Lori Blanc said.

Sephanie Ferrel led the offense with 14 kills on the night, followed by Abby Larreau who had 13 kills and two blocks.Annie Higgins had six kills and was also 14-of-14 from the service line.

The rest of the killers were Ashton Montgomery with four kills, Claire Conley with three and Alex Buley with two. Chantel Blanc had 37 assists in the victory.

The win puts DeSales to 5-2 in Southeast 2B play.

The Irish travel to Liberty Christian in Richland Thursday at 6 p.m.
