Poet and writer Pamela Steele of Hermiston will present a free public reading, suitable for all ages, at the Milton-Freewater Public Library on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
The author's work has appeared in various magazines and "Paper Bird," her first full-length collection of poetry was published in 2007 by Wordcraft of Oregon.
It was nominated for an Oregon Book Award. Steele recently completed a novel, which will be presented at the events
She will share her experience of working from a place she refers to as "in which we know exactly who we are; the place from which we speak our deepest beliefs."
Attendees at the readings will be invited to read briefly from their own works.
