CENTRALIA - Bellevue's Colten Kleis continued his tear through Riverside Golf Course with a 5-under 66 Monday to win the individual field at the Centralia Invitational by six strokes over Walla Walla Community College's Daryl Spivey.
Kleis finished the tourney 66-66-132, for 10-under par on the two days. Spivey finished minus-4 at 70-68-138.
Walla Walla finished second as a team behind Green River.
Other Warrior individual finishers were Cole Sajonia in fifth at 75-69-144; Ash Miles in eighth at 76-75-151; Josh Scothorne in 12th in 76-66-153; Andrew Grove in 15th at 77-77-154; and Zerin Beattie shot 87-76-163.
"Daryl once again demonstrated he's a factor in the league," WWCC coach Mike Rostollan said. "Colten just flat outplayed him, he's a first-class player. But with his win the last time out, Daryl's proven himself to be a performer.
"Cole had a lot of promise coming in and he backed that up," he said. "Ash won the NWAACC last year, and the chapter championship. He and Josh are our mainstays coming back. Josh had a couple trainwrecks out there he doesn't usually have.
"There's talent and skill in the league, it was good for the men to see who's out there," Rostollan said. "We've got some firepower."
