MILTON-FREEWATER - Mac-Hi defeated Baker for the second time this season here Tuesday at Shockman Field in a girls Greater Oregon League soccer match.
The 3-0 triumph raised Mac-Hi's GOL mark to 2-1-1 and its season record to 2-4-2. The Pioneers entertain Ontario Saturday at noon in another league counter.
Kariss Carillo scored the first two Mac-Hi goals, one in each half, and Mica Epifanio added an insurance goal. All three of the Mac-Hi scores were unassisted.
Kalyn Odman and Aljandra Olmos shared the goalkeeping duties for Mac-Hi, and they were each credited with one save, according to Mac-Hi coach Martin Martinez.
"We had 28 shots," Martin said. "And I'd say 12 of them, plus the three scores, were threats.
"Most of the play was in our (offensive) end of the field. Our goalies were falling asleep."
Martinez also had praise for Kaylee Davis, who got herself in position for two possible goals, though she was unable to convert.
