POLICE : Arrests made in Tietan Street gang shooting

Officers from 3 agencies took part in a round up last night, arresting 4 suspects in the drive by gang shooting that took place at Howard and Tietan Streets at about 5:40 p.m. on July 28th. All 4 arrests took place in Milton-Freewater, OR, beginning around 10:45 p.m. and finishing up about 3 hours later.

Daniel Ramos-Lara, 26 and Francisco Casillas Jr, 30, are both being held at the Umatilla County Jail on 4 counts of Complicity to Assault 1st Degree, Complicity to Drive-by Shooting, and Complicity to Riot. The other 2 arrests were of juveniles, ages 15 and 17. Both boys are being held on Riot charges at a juvenile detention facility. All 4 suspects have lengthy arrest records in the Walla Walla area.

During the July incident, gang members were chasing members of a rival gang when gunfire broke out. There were no injuries, but a nearby residence was struck.

The arrests were a culmination of a 2 month long investigation with strong support from the Milton-Freewater Police Department and the Walla Walla County Sheriff's Office.
