WALLA WALLA - A local man was shot in the leg Sunday night at Fort Walla Walla Park.
According to Walla Walla Police, just before 7 p.m. Terry Eugene Bickford, 59, was shot in the leg by Tyler B. Larson, 22, of College Place.
The men were said to have had a disagreement while at the Walla Walla Dog Park. Bickford and Larson then left the fenced area, but continued their disagreement a short distance away.
Police report that the situation became more heated, and that Larson fired a semi-automatic handgun, striking Bickford in the leg.
Bickford was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment. Larson was taken to the police station and later released.
Police said the incident was not gang related; their investigation is continuing.
