Mac-Hi boys crush Baker in 8-0 GOL win

BAKER - Mac-Hi's boys picked up another Greater Oregon League soccer victory, this time an 8-0 shutout of Baker here Tuesday.

Alberto Rodriguez scored four of the Pioneer goals, Gerardo Robles had a hat trick and Neftalli Cazarez had the other.

"Baker has improved, but they didn't give us a lot of trouble," Mac-Hi coach Jose Garcia said. "They had a couple shots on goal, but after that nothing. It was a little challenging."

Jaime Torres had three assists for Mac-Hi, Cazarez picked up two and Juan Pablo Martinez had one.

The Pioneers, 6-1 in GOL play and 8-1 overall, head to La Grande at 4 p.m. Thursday. They play the Tigers again Tuesday in La Grande, before ending the season with Ontario at home at 2 p.m. Oct. 29 in a match that should decide the GOL champion.
